Teens want more sex

With society being more liberated than before, everyone has become open about sex. And so have teenagers. Teenagers are usually more influenced by peer pressure than parents. They are more vulnerable. In a recent survey conducted by Australian Research Centre for Sex, Health and Society, at La Trobe University, found that “One third of Aussie teenagers have confessed that they have experienced unwanted sex.”
This survey involved 2926 students from 105 schools in state and private schools.

Overall, 25% of year 10 students, and more than 50% of year 12 students, said they had had intercourse. “Average age of the year 10 students was 15 and the year 12s was usually 17” said Professor Smith. 90% of teenagers who were sexually active indicated they wanted to have sex.

This survey also indicated healthy awareness of safe-sex messages in teenagers. They used condoms and contraceptives for safer sex. They were not embarrassed about asking for information about sex. 56% of girls and boys said that their main source of information was their mother.

From the abstract:

Teenagers are burdened by peer pressure. They are influenced by the way adults behave around them socially too. This survey clearly shows that sex education does help them. Teenagers, especially girls indulge in unwanted sex due to pressure from their partner or in cases where they are drunk. Teenagers have more number of sexual partners nowadays. This has underscored the need for sex education to prevent any future issues that may arise and its risks.

No doubts everyone wants sex and most of them do visit www.asureting.com regularly to find sex mates. But teens look for partners within school premises usually. It’s amazing to know the comfort level adolescents share with their mother, to understand more about sex and its risks. Today, it is essential for parents to let their children share their feeling regarding physical needs or sex. Parents can guide them and lead them to indulge in safer or protective sex. Raising fingers on sex education cannot stop teens from having sex or even being pregnant. The onus is on parents to be their foundation or first source of knowledge.

Women can now blame their hormones for being unfaithful

Women go through lot of hormonal changes throughout life. These changes usually occur during menstrual cycle, pregnancy and menopause. However, sometimes these changes may be triggered all of a sudden due to thyroid glands and estrogen (the female sex hormone).

In a recent study conducted by Dr. Kristina Durante of The University of Texas at Austin and colleagues found that estrogen levels in a woman is a deciding factor that can make a woman look good and also affect her fertility. Also, if a woman had high level of estrogen known as estradiol she not only looks and feel pretty but she is also more prone to hop from man to man. High level of estrogen is linked with making a woman attractive and flirtatious.

"These women are willing to trade up when the opportunity arises and continue to extract these lucrative resources from men when they can," says Kristina, who led the study. To reach the conclusion, Durante's team tested 52 female undergraduates aged 17 to 30 who were not taking hormone contraceptives. They took two estradiol samples from each, as hormone levels fluctuate from week to week.

“High oestradiol women reported that they had dated more men and were more willing to cheat, from innocent flirts to serious affairs. These women, however, proved no more interested in one-night stands than women with lower levels of oestradiol.”

From the abstract:

They say beauty is only skin deep. But now we know that it’s deep till the sex hormones. Though it’s not possible to believe that all beautiful women are flirtatious and switch partners time to time, this research proves it to be true. Usually attractive women do get more options to choose from. They receive more male attention. This makes them opportunistic.

When such women are in relationship they tend to look for something more or better. This leads to an unfaithful behavior. However, if you are in love with your partner no matter how many options you get, one will still remain faithful. Also, a couple needs to have an understanding between them about their sexual desires and materialistic wants. Selflessness to an extent is essential to balance a relationship. AST- Asurething.net provides couples with an open ground to discuss about their sexual desires.

It is the boundaries you set for yourself that restricts you and not the boundaries society or others set.
